Acute Oral Toxicity Testing
This test examines the effects of a single high dose of our formula using laboratory animals. The bottom line is that there were no observed adverse effects noted for a dose taken that is equivalent to over 100 times the recommended daily level.*
The Ames Test (Bacterial Reverse Mutation)
This test examines the potential for abnormal cellular changes/mutations, and the test results clearly demonstrate that our formula does not increase the rate of mutations.* An increase would indicate abnormal cell growth potential, which could lead to serious health damage and disease down the road.
Cytotoxicity Assay
This test looks at the potential for detrimental toxic damage at the cellular level. In this study, standardized cell cultures are exposed to our product for 48 hours, and afterwards, they are examined for specific structural changes that indicate signs of toxicity. The Cytotoxicity testing suggests that our product is non-toxic under the conditions of this assay.*
Antioxidant Capacity Assay
112 Degrees is proven to exert a strong antioxidant influence confirmed through numerous studies and measurements.* Above and beyond its powerful ORAC score, it has proven its antioxidant protection ability in our laboratory cell study.* Further research shows that its antioxidant protection can even rescue healthy cells from a certain cell death when present.*
Antioxidant activity is important because it can provide powerful protection to our body’s tissues, vessels, and organs from premature aging and the organ damage associated with unbuffered free radical assault.
Rho-kinase Inhibition
Being inhibited on this test could potentially mean uninhibited in the bedroom. And 112 Degrees showed significant Rho-kinase inhibition at low concentrations in-vitro—meaning a little may do a lot!* Let me explain further.
An erection is achieved in no small measure by the ability of its smooth muscle components to relax. This allows for increased blood flow into the genital vasculature, without which, the penis could not fill and get firm. One of the key underlying mechanisms to successfully achieve this process is through inhibiting the activity of Rho-kinase. (Rho-kinase inactivates an important enzyme, myosin phosphatase, which is necessary for allowing healthy smooth muscle’s proper functioning.)
This property of 112 Degrees may partially accounts for some of the impressive results revealed in our initial animal studies. Adult male rats were given a comparable human dose of 112 Degrees over a two week period, while the control group did not. In the adult males that were supplemented with our formula, there was a significant increase in penile length and width, and a significantly increased intracavernous pressure recorded (meaning more internal penile pressure from greater blood flow, i.e., more firmness).*
Inducible Nitric Oxide
112 Degrees is a proven supporter of nitric oxide (NO-) production in-vitro. * NO- helps cells communicate faster and better, so our bodies perform at their best. Nitric oxide production and regulation is subject to increasing research worldwide for everything from cardiovascular functioning, cellular communication, to optimal male sexual functioning. Whereas the lack of proper NO- production can cause significant challenges in these same areas.
We put 112 Degrees though several tests to find out if it could stimulate and support healthy nitric oxide production. There are only three recognized enzyme systems capable of producing this invaluable health promoter. From our in vitro research, we found conclusive proof positive that 112 Degrees is able to stimulate and produce NO-.*
One laboratory (in vitro) study we performed showed our formula to be able to stimulate inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS).* This was done on several different types of immune cells to verify its effect. The results show 112 Degrees can stimulate iNOS to the same strength or physiologic magnitude as a well- known, iNOS initiator.* (i.e. IL-12 stimulation of NK cells).
